The Krokis Special Anniversary Issue's front cover.
KROKIS, the official news courier & publication of the United Architects of the Philippines-Cavite Chapter (Arkitektong Kabitenyo) goes live on April 17, 2012 with its special anniversary issue "Usapang Kape" through its official website www.krokis.weebly.com as part of its effort to easily communicate to a greater number of readers, particularly the Cavite Chapter's growing number of members so they could learn more about the chapter's initiatives and updates.

According to The Krokis Editor-in-Chief, Ar. Michael Lorenzo Angelo L. Memoracion, UAP, the move to launch an online version of its publication not only aims to promptly cascade information to its members but also as its contribution to a more sustainable and greener environment  by minimizing printed copies of the publication and encourages everyone to go paperless. "We understand that our members are unable to attend the chapter's monthly General Membership Meeting (GMM) at all times due to limitations on their schedules and other circumstances. It is the publication's role then to keep them posted about what is happening to the chapter so they will not be left behind. This should also encourage non-active members to comeback and get involved with the chapter's projects and activities." -- added Ar. Memoracion.

The KROKIS is made available for free to all bona fide members of UAP-Cavite and its affiliates to the profession, architectural academe, and allied professionals. Krokis is a vernacular construction term which means sketch or to sketch. As an architect, it is but an integral part of our  profession - to sketch. It is not as simple as gripping a pencil and etching the lines in order to create a composition. It is a beautiful and intricate process of having one’s ideas and solutions flowing from the architect’s mind translated into a coherent piece, a part and parcel of converting one’s dream into real space of a built environment.
