The UAP Cavite Chapter Timeline
In the year 1995.The Professional Regulation Commission issued a memorandum citing that “no architectural license shall be renewed unless an architect gathered 60 points from seminars and other educational workshops”. To avail continuing professional education points, an architect must be a member of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) or the Philippine Institute of Architects (PIA).
In compliance to this memorandum, Ar. Aristarco Navarrete filed an application with UAP-Makati Chapter. However, due to the increased number in members, UAP Makati was not able to accommodate Ar. Navarrete. The UAP Secretariat referred him to the Paranaque-Palanyag Chapter where he eventually became an active member. After attending several meetings and activities, Ar. Serge Chua, the Paranaque Palanyag Chapter President encouraged him to gather Cavite architects and to form UAP Cavite Chapter. Despite the Challenges Ar. Navarete still visited the architects personally and invited them to form a chapter. In March 30, 1996.The UAP Cavite Chapter was chartered under District B4 of the UAP National Roster with Ar. Aristarco Navarrete as the first Chapter President. The Charter Ceremony was attended by the National Officers headed by then UAP National President Ar. Nestor Mangio and the District Director for B3 Arch. Nanette Segovia.
In August 1996.A resolution was passed and thereby approved by the UAP National to transfer of Cavite Chapter to District B3.
In years 1997 to 2010.Since then, UAP Cavite soared high and stood strong as and organization serving the best interest of profession, the Cavite province and the nation.
